Signtrade celebrating unprecedented success at FESPA Middle East 2024

Signtrade, a leading force in the signage industry for over 35 years, achieved resounding success at FESPA Middle East 2024. Hosted at the Dubai Exhibition Center from January 29th to 31st, this was the industry renowned FESPA’s Middle East debut. As the founding exhibitor and Platinum Sponsor, Signtrade demonstrated unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and industry leadership. 

Signtrade presented the largest booth at the exhibition, spanning more than 1200 square meters. This expansive space served as a dynamic representation of world-leading industry brands and showcased their innovative end-to-end cutting-edge product line and turnkey sustainable solutions. Signtrade proudly hosted over 5000+ potential customers during the 3-day exhibition. The dynamic space served as a hub for forging high-end opportunities, as witnessed by the closure of 150+ successful deals, cementing Signtrade’s position as an industry leader.

The exhibition, coinciding with Signtrade’s 35th anniversary, provided a momentous platform for the company to celebrate its long term industry partnerships and showcase its prowess in diverse industries, including signage, packaging, textiles, art, and architecture. Adopting a user-centered approach, Signtrade captivated visitors with inspiring applications, emphasizing the practicality and innovation inherent in its portfolio.

Throughout the event, Signtrade, alongside esteemed partners, conducted live demos and product presentations, unveiling the latest innovations from world-renowned partners such as HP, SwissQPrint, Mimaki, Handtop, Summa, Epilog, Gravotech, TPS, TigerTec, EtchCut and ST-Tec. The extensive material portfolio, featuring 3M, Metamark, Starflex, LucoLED, and more, highlighted Signtrade’s dedication to quality and diversity.

There were many show-stoppers within the Signtrade Pavilion, with SwissQPrint’s Kudu stealing the spotlight. Kudu achieved an impressive 304 m² per hour output with 10 versatile color channels, including neon pink and neon yellow. Its UV-curing inks were VOC-free and bonded effectively on diverse materials like acrylic, wood, and metal. Kudu’s ability to print on transparent and dark media, coupled with neon effects under black light, made it a standout choice for the potential clients. 

HP at Signtrade Pavilion showcased the full range of HP Latex Printers, from entry level to commercial and Industrial-level high-end models. The hands-on experience demo included R2000, 2700, 3600, the flagship 700 & 800 series, and the entry-level 630, 500, and 335 models. Sustainable HP Latex printers, known for their outdoor durability, versatility across common media types, high quality, odorless prints, low maintenance, and reduced environmental impact, making them a preferred choice for clients.

3M presented a diverse range of high-performance materials and innovative systems, from traffic signs to road markings. Their extensive range of graphics & signage materials caters to vehicles and transportation, windows and glass, buildings and walls, floors and sidewalks, as well as illuminated signs and displays. Meanwhile, Metamark launched its premium series that includes architectural finishes, vinyl, printable color media, car wraps, and frosted media. Job Description:
As a Service Engineer for Large Format Printing Machines at Signtrade, your primary responsibility will be to install, repair, and service a wide range of Wide Format Equipment from top manufacturers. Working within a designated geographic territory, you will be dispatched to various job assignments based on the product and your level of experience. You will receive comprehensive training to make necessary mechanical or electrical repairs and provide preventive maintenance on all machines serviced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, service and Maintenance of Large Format Printing Machines from world-renowned manufacturers.
  • Provide on-site service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot issues independently and make necessary repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on serviced machines.
  • Collaborate with our customer base, ranging from large corporations to small and medium-sized businesses.
  • A minimum of 2 years of UAE experience is required.
  • Must possess a valid UAE driving license and have access to your own conveyance.
  • Willingness to travel within the MENASA territory for service calls.

Requirements:

  • Prior 2 years of UAE experience in large format printing machines is must.
  • An associate degree in electronics or comparable work experience or training is preferred.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Proficient troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong independent thinking skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • High energy level and self-motivation.
  • A strong desire and ability to learn.

Your main responsibility will be to operate and manage the Barbieri Spectrophotometer, with the goal of calibrating and maintaining color profiles for various output devices, including printers and displays. You will closely collaborate with our production and design teams to attain the highest standards of color accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Barbieri Spectrophotometer to profile output devices.
  • Create and maintain color profiles for printers, displays, and other equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate devices to guarantee consistent color reproduction.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to meet color accuracy requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze color data to identify and rectify inconsistencies.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to color management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with the Barbieri Spectrophotometer is required.
  • Strong knowledge of color theory and color management principles.
